4:45am

Thought I was going to get an early start on sleep last night, so I went to bed at 10pm. Joke was on me because London couldn't sleep, had to get up at 11 to get her back down (12:00am) and have been up every hour for randomness. At 3am I thought it would be easier to put Bri in our room....WRONG. Nothing but moaning for the last hour an half (because she can't touch her bellybutton). Is it really a good ideal (bonding purposes) to let three kids sleep in the same room or is it just inconvenient to the Mother? Ugh I'm done with sleep this night. Coffee is brewing and I might as well get started on my daily routine and other work to be done.

Today I choose to be PATIENT.

Todays Pics

So I began and executed the huge production of going outside with 2 babies and a toddler today. We make it outside with a ball for Bri to play with, twins have something to gum on and I have my camera in hand ready to shoot. Hoping that I have everything I need to keep three little ppl happy for at least an hour, 2 would have been nice.... about 20 min of being outside, taking my time with shooting, Bri comes up to me and says "boo boo"...sigh, all I could think about was how much work it took to get outside...and once we go in, we will not be coming back out (today). Once in, I get everybody situated and I lay Bri down to change her and to my surprise, there was no boo boo. I asked her if she needed to go potty, and she replied "no". I guess it was just to hot and that was the quickest way she could get back in the AC. LOL kids.

This is what I came up with today... Needless to say, the pics were over exposed with a 50mm lens, f1.8 and a flash...maybe tomorrow will be better.

Researching and Learning

College is not for everybody. It certainly wasn't for me. In my heart I am an artist. I'm not very disciplined but I am fiercely creative when I put my mind to it. I would have to say about 10 percent of what I know is self taught, 35 percent came from my parents, 50 percent is common sense (so many ppl lack) and only about 5 percent came from sitting in a classroom. Attention span...not so great.
Everything I need to know can be found on the net, in a book, or simply asking another human being a question. No need to be tested by another, I can grade myself. Today's lesson, working with a flash.

Today I commit

In order for one to be great at anything, one must be childlike and continue to learn. Today I commit to learning and owning my craft. Each day will bring a new photograph, an open book, a new blog, constructive criticism from another photographer, etc. Today I commit!

The Official Name: Josephs Design Studio

Coming up with a business name is very frustrating to me because it all comes down to the Domain address. Every name I thought of, the domain was already taken. Even TMarie.

So I came up with Josephs Design Studio in hopes of getting JDS.COM...well JDS.COM is taken of course but www.josephsdesignstudio.com was still available. After a few days of contemplating I decided to go with Josephs Design Studio. I'm crazy excited and I'm working everyday to create something beautiful. What do you think, is Josephs Design Studio too lengthy?

Time to start working on a logo as well. Any suggestions?

Just Finished Designing another Great Book

In between the poopy diapers, "hold me mommy" screams, "feed me" screams, "I'm sleepy" screams, laundry, cooking, cleaning, bath times, nap times, the huge production of going outside, etc.... I managed to design another great book. Super excited about the design of the cover. With each book I design I learn something new and that is an amazing feeling. Sneek Peek!
